Hi my name is Cheryl, I have decided to start a blog for various reasons but mostly because I have these things that keep happening to me and I can not figure out why. First I want you to know this is not about a "pitty" party. I am a KLUTZ, and boy do I mean KLUTZ. But even though these strange things keep happening to me I realize I have a lot to be thankful for. I have had some bad things happen in my life, my Dad passed away in 1986 from Pancreatic Cancer, My older brother passed away in 2007 from a motorcycle accident, and the worst loss of all was my mother who passed away 3/24/2009 from complications from Lupus. But I still have my younger brother and his wife and daughter and son. They are my family and I love them, and his wife's family consider me family. I still have Aunts, Uncles, and lots of cousins. I also have great friends especially my scrapbooking friends (yes I am a scrapper). And I also have a large amount of Angel Sisters. These are other women who have lost their mothers, we are part of a group Tapestries of Hope which is a grief support group specifically for women who have lost their mothers. This has been the biggest blessing, they are a wonderful group of women who are always there for me when I feel sad. My profile will provide a better glimpse into who I am.
How many of you out there are considered a klutz, my entire life I have continuously fallen, tripped, cut, burnt, and broken things including myself. I know I must be doing something wrong for these things to keep happening. For one thing I absolutely cannot use an iron, at least only if I want another burn mark on my arm. I have no idea how I keep doing this but every time I use an iron I end up with a burn mark on my arm. I love home popped popcorn, so one year my Mom got me one of those electric poppers that you put the oil and the corn in and then when it is done you flip it over and the top is now a bowl for the popcorn. So the very first time I decided to use it, I waited for the popping to complete and then unplugged according to the instructions. Then I proceeded to flip it over and then ended up with a burn scar on my leg and foot from the hot oil. You probably guessed by now I flipped it towards me instead of away and I had put to much oil in it and it ran out and down my leg and dripped off my knee and on the top of my foot. I could not wear pants or shoes for a week. Now keep in mind I did this as an adult not a kid, my parents did the best they could to keep me safe but when you have a child that walks in front of another kid on a swing and gets kicked in the face and ends up with a dimple I guess you know you are in trouble... Well that is all for today, please let me know what you think and any suggestions to quit getting hurt would be greatly appreciated...
